Search Engines are liking content more and more

Almost self-evident?

Well, maybe. But maybe you don’t see the number of sites that I do that don’t have any proper textual content for the engines or human readers to latch on to. Nor do you talk to the number of people who are still convinced that there’s some way of manipulating the search engines by not investing in content.

As I’ve said before, search engines have one main purpose in life - telling people where to find the content they’re looking for. Over time, they’re getting better and better at working with content and excluding this week’s flavour of the month SEO spamming ideas.

The news here is that Yahoo and MSN are placing even more emphasis on optimized content, and ranking sites with plenty of good content highly.
