Every so often I feel I should throw Linux on to a spare PC (well, my spare PC), as the geeks of my acquaintance keep saying things like ‘I’ve rated Linux as granny-ready for some time’. David’s sad tale tells me I’m probably a great, great granny, and should not even think about it.
