You’ll know when the floods get bad, because I’ll tell you when they reach our front door – we live on the first floor (that’s second floor if you’re reading in the States, or anywhere else that doesn’t have a ground floor).

Brighton is just 12 miles east of where I sit now, and it’s very sad news as reconstruction had just begun after storm damage back in the 70s. Now what’s going to happen?
I wonder if this had anything to do with the helicopter and lifeboats earlier? They were actually out about an hour before the BBC reports the pier fell into the sea, so I guess both events are probably down to bad weather overnight.
